Who Wants To Leave This Game…
Knowing we could have done more.
Given more.
Tried harder.
Stretched further.
Overcome more fears.
Unleashed our potential.
Obliterated those things that held us back.
In his words, “Become who I was destined to be.”
Man In The Arena
Pulling out a holey printed card from his wallet he told me, “In my hardest times I pinned Roosevelt’s quote in front of me all day.”
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming;
But who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause;
Who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.
“We all want this. We all need this,” he said.
“And I need you to help me remove those things that…”
Hold Us All Back
None of us want to be a timid spectator to life.
To exit this world wondering what more was possible.
Thinking what could have been.
What more we could have done.
Imagining who we could have become.
Yet there are things that hold us all back, aren’t there?
Fear. Doubt. Lack of belief.
Doubt This. Believe That
Doubt anything can ever hold you back from being all you can be.
Believe you can right now choose to unleash all your potential.
To be sure, in the arena we face risk, fear, uncertainty.
Yet know, limitless is possible for you.
