These are challenging times, aren’t they?
The era of outrage.
Tensions boiled over.
A history of human oppression laid bare.
Terrorizing mob behavior from cops and protestors.
And here we are…
In the middle of a pandemic that has lost its front page status.
Social distancing given way to social unrest.
Locked up, with no end even talked about anymore.
In the phase of curfews, police and mob rule.
Hopefully this will be short.
And soon give way to opening up the economy and your life.
Or maybe not.
Many don’t want to confront, what if?
All this can be a little scary and overwhelming, can’t it?
There’s a head in the sand mentality right now.
Hopefully we come out of this and it’s like the roaring 20s.
Look at the stock market.
It’s easier to try and convince yourself that this will soon revert to “normal.”
And maybe it will.
Hopefully it will.
But maybe and hope isn’t a strategy.
Come back to what you can control
You can easily get pulled into all of that.
It can be very hard not to.
But it can also be easy to choose where you put your mind.
To have empathy for those who have suffered.
Care deeply for every single man, woman, and child.
And then to do everything you can for them, you, and your family…
By focusing on what you can control.
Serve humanity taking control
Many people are spraying like a fire hose.
From the comfort of their fancy homes talking about inequality, justice and whatnot.
Pointing the finger.
Joining the choir of victims on a rollercoaster of sadness and outrage.
None of that helps a single person.
The absolute best thing any of us can do for your fellow man is to keep serving humanity by adding value in the world.
This doesn’t come from thinking about the problems, staying stuck in your actions.
But by putting your mind and actions in the best place to serve yourself, your family, and the world.
Yes, indeed, these are hard times, and may get harder, so again I suggest checking out the free program for Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.
