I don’t really think we’re headed into the Roaring 22s.
To me there are more red lights out there than green.
Another variant.
Continued lockdowns.
Dysfunctional social narratives.
Reckless money printing and delusional crowds.
Gutted economies, businesses, lives.
More warmongering.
Lucky I’m color blind.
Green lights
You might know this quote I’ve shared before from Albert Schweitzer—
“An optimist sees a green light everywhere… while the pessimist sees only the red light… but the truly wise person is color blind.”
I am medically color blind, although I’d never claim wise.
I’m more like a racecar driver looking for green lights because I’m built to drive.
I’ve always been that idiot sitting at the lights looking left to right ready to roar off the line.
And then just keep driving, fast.
Optimism, whatever
I shared this clip with you last year of Elon Musk talking about how he doesn’t care about hope.
Or optimism.
Or motivation.
Or any of that basic stuff.
“Irrespective of what the circumstances may be,” he says, “You just keep going and get it done.”
I love his simplicity.
If you’re looking for reasons to be stopped you can always find those, particularly in times like now.
Same if you’re waiting for all the lights to flash green.
“Don’t wait”
Author of the best-selling book on personal development, Napoleon Hill, famously wrote—
“Don’t wait, the time will never be just right.”
His point is quite obvious, isn’t it?
There’s never a perfect time in human history nor your life.
Hill published his book in 1937.
Back then our unfortunate ancestors had lived through the Spanish flu, World War I and the Roaring 20s and were now stuck in the not-so-great depression.
It was perhaps the worst of times—at least before the murderous monarchs started World War II—which is why Hill’s message mattered even more.
Back yourself in
Look out at this world that is flashing some red and keep seeking the green.
A reason I went so deep into researching Elon Musk, and building this program, was because I wanted to marinate this in my mind.
We are in strange times my friend, where many people are stalled, just sitting there, rubbernecking tragedy, watching red lights all day.
Whereas people like Elon Musk are looking head-on into the gravest threats facing humanity and driving forward anyways.
Fact is, none of us can know if we’re headed into the Roaring 22s, or not.
But just imagine what would be possible for yourself and humanity if we are all roaring off the line?
