Hi there,
Happy new year!
Wishing you and your loved ones all the best for the new year.
How are you feeling about it? I’m just getting back from a fantastic trip to Australia.
Had some special times in Sydney and all getting together for Mum’s birthday and Christmas.
Best times
It was a reminder of loving your time.
Because as kids you have all this time together always in each other’s space… for better and not better.
Now, with me living here for decades and my brother overseas we haven’t all been together in the same room for years. It was a reminder you’ve gotta love your time when you’re in it and keep making the best of your time.
Time passes for better and not so better and you make the best of it.
This is a secret to living your best year I write about every new year…
You?
How about you?
How are you looking back on last year? Be lavish in your praise, btw!
Did it play out as you expected? Better? How do you think about it in best years ever?
What about this year? How are you seeing it? Feeling about things you want to do?
How might you imagine looking back on another best year?
“Kaboom!”
We typically say this on Friday’s call.
And it was a Friday so we also said “Kaboom!” to start the new year.
He was still out with his family and we talked about loving this special time that won’t come around again.
Then we spoke for most the call about being fired up for the new year.
We talked about burning desire and he asked, what’s just one thing that makes this a best year ever?
One thing
Down in Australia I went back through some checklists for reviewing your year and planning next year.
Is this something you do? Reading Think and Grow Rich I also went deeper into his 28 questions of self-analysis and refined my daily methods and KPIs that resemble this output from the program on Musk and Bezos.
This ties your goals, mind, actions back to your grandest vision like I wrote about at the start of last year on setting limitless goals!
Best iterating your method best makes for a best year ever.
And this one thing I saw in Australia too.
Seeing more
Last year some of my best times in New York were with people who rarely come through.
One buddy had to be here for a court case and yes this is what it took to get him here.
Another has white hair now and a few others way less since I last saw them.
And these were some of my best times connecting with people last year.
This year I’m seeing more.
Talking more
I’m writing less and connecting more this year.
This is because I’ll be seeing more people and talking more.
If you’re reading this and we’re due to chat, let’s chat! Let’s get together in New York or where you are. I’m reminded to go to Vail and Texas and Brazil and back to London this year.
Because years fly by and I haven’t even been back to San Francisco where I lived 3+ years or even Vegas where I have a vehicle or other parts of the country I love!
Seeing more people and places is one thing for me this year. How about you?
Happy new year!
I know I carry on about making this your best year ever, but who wants a worst year ever?? 🙂
AND it gets you looking back on what made last year best and what would have made it better, and how this can be your best new year too.
You know time passes fast and you’re looking back over decades with people and soon enough you’ll be looking back at the end of this year.
Now is your time to be living your best year ever.
Happy new year!
