How good are you?
Out of 10 how good would you say you are?
How much of your potential have you unleashed?
Here I’m thinking in terms of your main focus in life or maybe all your life.
In your career or business or life or mind or as a parent or otherwise out of 10 how good are you?
Who cares?
I’d say many people never care.
They don’t have enough reason to care.
It doesn’t matter in their career or business or life they’re operating at a fraction of their potential.
Or even if they feel way less than 10 out of 10.
They’re not like us.
Loving it
I wake up every day loving doing this work forces me to keep getting better and better.
It’s hard as heck and I love it demands being as good as I can be.
I don’t win unless I keep getting better and better, nor do my clients.
In the past I haven’t been good enough to achieve my grandest vision so I work on getting better every day targeting my best.
If you’re doing something hard you’ve gotta love living this way.
Obsession
How much do you want it?
It always stuck with me when we had a business with Navy SEALs hearing one talk about grueling SEAL training.
A client asked, “What makes the difference between those who make it through infamous Hell Week and those who quit?”
You know what he said?
It wasn’t about skill or strength or toughness.
He said, “Maybe they didn’t want it enough.”
Measure
Best energy, best mind, best actions, best day every day.
You know the notion you can only manage what you measure?
This is what I’ve found over decades has been most valuable for me.
Because for years I knew what to do but wasn’t good enough at doing it.
And I saw to keep pushing your potential every day you need measures to get leverage over the brain.
How do you know you’re moving in the right direction, and fast enough?
Like people rate their sleep rate your wake.
Perfect 10?
Every day I grade out of 10.
1-3 grade for energy. 1-3 grade for mind. 1-3 grade for actions. 1 grade for results.
Notice out of 10 only one grade is for results while the rest comes from perfecting process.
Still my 7 day average is only 74% and I’m always pushing the boundaries of a perfect 10.
Perfecting energy, perfecting mind, perfecting actions, perfecting life.
Perfect 10!
