So I got a lot of questions on what I wrote last week on Bloomberg’s terrible debate.
I know a lot of capitalist-types like “Mike,” and were bummed at how poorly he performed.
Hence, I mostly got questions about what he could “do” better. (they still didn’t want to believe he’s done)
To be totally honest, I’m way over this topic of politics.
And I know you might be too, so I won’t be coming back to this much more.
Yet I feel it’s my civic duty to point out a handful of the BLATANTLY OBVIOUS mistakes that have ended him.
1. Look at this campaign page
“Mike will get it done.”
“Mike will fix healthcare.”
“Mayors like Mike.”
Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike.
Who? They’ve obviously gone with “Mike” so the $60bn man sounds more every day man…
Yet how about not making his campaign all about Mike, but about every man and woman?
As self-centered as Trump obviously is, he won because his campaign was the least self-centered.
Hillary went with Make HerStory.
Trump rallied around America being greater.
Just like Barack’s Yes We Can, it’s about us, not you, you, you, Mike.
2. His billboards in Vegas promoted Trump
What don’t they get about influence?
The first chapter in my Trump book is how Trump won by dominating attention.
Negative or positive he doesn’t care, Trump wins by hoovering headlines.
And once again, while Bloomberg could have focused on how he would serve Americans.
Or at least how he would do a better job than the Dems who’d just wiped the stage with him in Iowa…
He’s plastering these what, quirky, Trump billboards:
Who’s advising him?
The same people who had Hillary plaster Trump Love Hate all over her own campaign website?
It doesn’t make any sense… A guy whose built a media empire worth some $60bn doesn’t even get headlines and attention??
3, 4, 5. I only made it this far…
I got bored of myself and couldn’t even write the last three points.
So I lumped these together as his atrocious debate preparation.
3. He wasn’t prepared
Even Bernie was shocked at how unprepared Mike was for the most obvious knocks against him.
Any pro would step on the stage knowing exactly what “objections” would be speared their way, and exactly how to destroy them.
4. His “energy” was lame
Who prepared him for his debate?
A funeral director? The emcee for his failed campaign dinner?
He needed to get up there and drive home like Bernie the passion and energy for what he believes in.
Oh, and of course what he’s doing for Americans.
5. On that… Where was his messaging?
What was his messaging?
Who was he speaking to?
How was he driving it home?
He wasn’t, so he’s driving to a home other than the White House.
If all this is so blatantly obvious…
Why wasn’t it obvious to him and his advisors while they’ve been blowing through $400mm?
Best guess I have is because they still think this is politics.
When you must first accept that a political election is mass influence.
And then focus on developing masterful mass influence.
That’s what drove crushing campaigns for Trump and Obama, yet most the others haven’t figured it out?
For anyone who wants to go deeper or develop the influence you want to take over your world here’s the free Combating Trump Masterclass again.
