No, I didn’t get that headline from the Jackson Five or from the top of the blackboard in school, but from Tony Robbins.
ABC = Always be conditioning.
Here’s the thing about being happier, better, and becoming who you choose to be.
Even though in my world we talk a lot about “programming,” that’s not what leads to powerful personal development.
It is how you condition that programming every day that makes the difference.
Think of it just like hitting the gym.
It’s one thing to program yourself to show up every day, but it is conditioning the body with exercise that changes you and your life.
All mental conditioning works the same way.
Here is one absolute must form of mental conditioning that I suggest for anyone looking to keep getting better and better every day:
It is my “First Rule of Mind Control:” Only think about what you want.
That means, no matter what the topic, quickly cut off any thought of what you don’t want, and shift your thinking to what you do want.
Worried about all the things you need to get done? STOP thinking about it. Instead, shift your thinking to loving being absorbed getting it done.
Bothered by something that happened in your day? STOP thinking about it. Instead, shift your thinking to something great that happened (today or any day!).
Hate your job? STOP thinking about it. Instead, shift your thinking to something you like about it, or, if you are serious about living the life you truly want, how you are taking actions to change it.
Literally, use the First Rule of Mind Control for everything, all day every day, and watch your life transform.
ABC, baby!
