There’s many layers to what I do.
And more and more I’ll be sharing with you these truths.
I know that many people don’t want to hear some truths.
That used to hold me back.
It’s safer for me to STFU and avoid the tragedy.
But these days the stakes are WAY too high.
We need more
More of what?
Basically, everything.
But perhaps more than everything we need more people who know how to get things done, getting IMPORTANT things done.
In Trump I saw a disruptive, transformational leader who knows how to win.
Whether you like him or not—I never have—over decades in business he’s a proven winner.
And the book I wrote was how he stood up and thrashed 16 proven Republican, um, not-winners.
If you like this direction
If you like the state of the world.
Then that’s great for you.
You can keep cheering these people who keep perpetuating broken systems.
Broken mentalities.
Broken ways of governing.
Broken promises.
Breaking us apart.
Creating more and more of a broken world.
Trump was a symbol to me
Of what is possible when a highly skilled winner REALLY goes for it.
I loved that he was mocked from the minute he stood up, yet he maintained a bulletproof mindset that he would win.
So few people can even stay positive speaking up in a meeting, let alone when the world is screaming at you to sit the fc down.
Even some of my most lefty friends loved the book because it laid out exactly how he used his mastery of selling and influence—ultimately, covert influence—to beat the red team and take over the country.
Personally, I hated the way he kept showing up.
I loved watching him ABSOLUTELY thrash those tired career politicians that he blasted from the GOP stage.
But I detested his divisiveness.
His inability to play well with others.
And get things done.
Better together isn’t a slogan
Of course it is for some.
And whether you cheer those politicians or not, one must admit that they are the same people who have been governing this decline for decades.
Literally, decades.
Any intelligent person who thought Biden, now decades beyond his prime, was going to be an ACTUAL solution was one eye closed.
That’s all good.
Many people love to support their team, irrespective of their tragic game and results.
But those of us who TRULY care about the state of the union, and the state of the world, recognize that we must come together and do more.
I detest politics
I detest their divisive game; I stand for America and the free world.
I grew up around politicians.
Most my life I’ve been exposed to their game.
And the fact is, they are way better at it than Trump was.
A failing belief many of us leaders in business have is that a winner in business can step into their game and actually make constructive change.
Yes, we can, around the fringes like Youngkin and Murphy are, and McCormick hopes to.
But the fact is that the career politicians know their game inside and out, and they are the ones who get things done, or not.
Some politicians might be outright liars and often corrupt, and you may have seen our great nation getting worse in this corruption index.
Yet personally I have developed tremendous respect for even some politicians who I think are disastrous leaders for our country because I see how masterful they are at playing their game.
I say we let them, while the rest of us focus on doing what we do best.
Getting things done
Focus on what you control.
This has been my mantra throughout this disastrous phase in human history, and it’s led to the best results ever for our businesses and clients.
It’s optimistic to think that somehow this will just get back on the rails, but as Musk has said, “I’d rather be optimistic and wrong, than pessimistic and right.”
And as I wrote here, I’m good with staying color blind.
What I do know, however, is that the masses of men and women around the world are DESPERATELY suffering.
If there’s anything that keeps me awake at night, it’s what more I can do for them.
More than everything we need more and more leaders on Team Humanity.
Bezos has said, “It’s not hard to make things different, but it is hard to make things different and better.”
And perhaps more than ever right now we need more leaders doing the hard things that make things different AND better.
